Bird House

Objective: To design a unique birdhouse using the elements and principles of design, which are colour, form, space, line, texture, balance, emphasis, contrast, movement, proportion, and unity.

Process: To achieve this objective, various architectural buildings, birdhouse designs, and patterns were explored. The main materials are unpainted cedar wood and concrete board, which in combination, create a modern and organic look. The shape of the finished birdhouse is inspired by the shape of a hand, “protecting” and sheltering the bird nesting inside it.
