Shipping Container Cabin

Objective: To design a unique shipping container cabin fit to house one to two people for a day or two.

Process: This shipping container cabin was designed to shelter one or two person in a secluded area like a hiking trail in the mountains. The cabin is furnished with the necessities (shower, toilet, sink, kitchen, fridge, chairs & table, bed, and storage space. The skylight and floor to ceiling curved window in the bedroom area were designed to maximize lighting and space. Since the standard shipment container is narrow at 8 feet wide, the space is “opened up” by using big windows along the walls.
